I just read your article you last sentence made me think a lot ## Steem: Come for the money, Come back for the community, Stay for freedom and decentralization Subjectively I feel that many people dont get over Step1. #### "Come for the money" When you start steeming as an seasoned content creator you leave some convinience behind. No more easy uploads on youtube or great working apps. It is like going camping. Instead of your bed you have a tent and bugs, instead of your TV you have a bonefire and the stars. WTF is Steem? Magic internet money like Bitcoin? You know Bitcoin is going to zero, right? Crypto is new exciting and probably scary for many people. Remember we talked about convinience? Why would I leave my $ which get accepted worldwide to get some of this magic beans money? My neighbour did it and lost 80%. No, thank you! Why would a youtube creator who is not into crypto come here and post his content on dtube? Yes, he can just test the waters and post on both mediums. Then it would be our job to convince him to stay here but with the current prices this is no easy task. I think it would be smarter to aim for the crypto content creators to get them to post exclusively on dtube as they have already an understanding what Bitcoin and Steem is and why it has value. It is what people cast their votes, write their articles, post their pictures here. Creating a community and interact with like minded people is a tool to get you those votes. It is usually a pleasent one if you enjoy the topic and the interaction with the community members. Many post for cents with the dream to make it big here. After a couple of posts the first "steemit is so unfair" post is written and after that another one bites the dust. All the projects you mentioned seem to be good ones still some of them will fail probably. Some of them will be very big with a lot of SP to curate. With that we are back to a more or less centralized power. Imagine haejin curates his own dtube and berniesanders wants to be a creator there. While I am happy to see such projects I am also a bit concerned. But I think this is a long enough comment right now. Please dont get me wrong, I dont want to be a negative nancy. I want to see Steem being a top crypto as the next steemian but at the moment it feels like I am sitting in a car with a drunk driver who cant hold a lane. Will we stay a blogging platform and use most of the reward pool for this or something totally different in the future? I am curious to see though.
