Dear readers ... Today I want to let you know the service where I currently work. It has been a wonderful experience due to the contribution that has been made to the school population of the municipality where we are located. I'm talking about the Anzoátegui Psychoeducational Unit. ![IMG-20180512-WA0016.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRkGTqfx69v3Un3jLycspPL7pCBMowbKRuXq7qnKtAFtX/IMG-20180512-WA0016.jpg) This is a service in the area of Learning Difficulties of the Special Education modality formed by a team of Psychopedagogues, psychologist, social worker and other professionals related to the area, as legal advisors. This team develops its action in an interdisciplinary way, through a cooperative work within a school institution where we operate; that is, we serve the population of the school of which we are a part and also the population of other public and private institutions that deserve it. Our goal is to provide comprehensive educational attention to students with special educational needs to achieve permanence and completion of their schooling; At the same time, we promote the preventive action of possible learning difficulties in the initial stage (preschool) and primary education. In the same way, the Psychoeducational Unit fulfills functions of support to the school integration of the students with some special condition in conjunction with the schools and services of the Special Education modality and with other sectors at the educational or labor level. I am currently working as a Psychopedagogue in this service and what we have achieved has motivated me to share it with you, to make known what, how and why we do all this exciting and rewarding work as a human being and professional. In addition, we could serve as inspiration to other readers who also work in the area of education or wish to be part of this guild. For now, I complete this post with the presentation of the Psychoeducational Unit ... soon I will show you little by little what our work consists of with students with special educational needs.
