Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 1/1/2022. I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content. Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years. If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy. And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often. Unfortunately unlike back in 2018 we didn't wake up this morning to Steem reaching $8 instead you probably noticed that the price of Steem did drop suddenly recently corresponding with Bitcoins falling. However certain movements do make it easier for reaching our Steem Power target. SBD's took a hit and did recover but not as much as I was hoping for..still we can't complain about that much as it's still a much better result than no recovery at all. As for the weather I can't believe how mild it was for new years evening, sure much later it got pretty cold and so I was glad to have the extra layer on but honestly I can't remember the it ever being this mild since being here. During Christmas when I had a few moments I tried alot of different things with the intention that my phone would start receiving text messages again and it seems whatever I done as been slowly fixing the issue. It appears I'm now getting messages more consistently, well I believe that now I'm finally receiving all of them. Yes I did think it was probably time to get a new phone because of these issues but I didn't really want to just yet because the phone itself still looks almost new and works generally well. On the topic of phones for some reason I got banned from WhatsApp without a warning or justification, this is frustrating as it was a good way to communicate with family who are far away and the same with a few friends. Today I didn't have work and thank goodness because I only arrived home around 2.30am which I was already tired from. This is because I had to work on new years evening and while I tell myself it's just another day I admit that I was in not the greatest of moods having to be in. I believe this is because I already had plans later and so just wanted to go and hang out with friends. On the day I somehow got out of work late, no idea why we all seemed ready to leave on time but somehow didn't. From what I could gather most people were not really doing much for new years eve...well except for ironically the guy who claims to be homeless? Apparently he expects to be done partying around 4 to 5 in the morning lol, still I feel somehow the lesser celebrations is partly to do with the covid. But I did find it a little comical the day before as this guy came in claiming he as covid but can't prove it to be off work, this is because he says he's tests keep saying he's negative... He reckons he keeps getting false negatives...I guess he's never heard of false positives either? Honestly he seemed like he had the flu and was just trying to get a day off work and I think if your feeling that bad you shouldn't be coming into work because rest is needed to recover. Last time I was in it was very odd as there was a ton of work coming in for my department but yet the strange thing is the superiors decided to put me somewhere else. This was a extremely stupid move on their part as I noticed a mistake that my colleagues started back on my actual department. Right from the beginning I warmed them about it, seems they didn't get the memo and while most of the work got done it wasn't done correctly. Meaning it took someone else the following morning a few hours to fix it all LOL. Maybe that will teach them to leave the people who know the job already to get on with it? Haha nope of course it didn't. They wanted me to stay extra for Christmas Eve "I told them no". In the end there was no doubt I made the right choice as I arrived home early for Christmas which honestly is rare these past years. I believe Christmas was better this year and a big reason as to why was because not only did I get home early for Christmas but also because I had boxing day off. Didn't have to put up with that annoying feeling that perhaps I better be careful during the festivities in-case I make myself unwell and can't make it in the next day. Not attending this years Christmas work party for various reasons but as suspected the party was cancelled anyway due to covid reasons. The plant room somehow had a leak and so needs to be aired out but the problem with this is the large vents inside with the door open it let's in a ton of cold air just glad that the door as now been closed more often and the weather milder occasionally. When I did eventually get of work I had to quickly get home so I could get ready to meet friends as we had the night planed to go eat at a old styled diner, after we were going to watch a movie at the cinema with finishing either at some bar or club. Haha the night started in a complete disaster because they wouldn't let us in to any of the places without bookings or paying extra high fees for other features that we had no interest in. Yes I know it was new years night and many places need to be booked but me and my friends checked over the websites and at no point did the sites mention anything about needing to book anything for the night. My friends were left fuming with the constant rejections, but funny thing is these places are desperate for customers and money but yet they were turning down costumers who were showing up. The night almost ended in disaster but we put our heads together and hunted for other places who were just as desperate for costumers but were not doing all this booking nonsense even if they were half empty. We managed to find places that made almost the whole original plan work and honestly it was a pretty decent night and as already mentioned above I only arrived home at 2.30am. It's been strangely happening lately that getting less sleep I feel like I have more energy, it makes no sense but surely it's not healthy to have a lack of sleep but have more energy. As for the progress on fitness I feel I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns and so have continued to try and shed the weigh off by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. I started all this back in mid April and continued until the beginning of October this is when my work schedules began to revert back to normal which makes it too difficult for me to continue. This is unfortunate as it's when I started trying the "hit" way, but with all the extra work I come to the conclusion that it had to be put on hold until the "New Year's Eve" is over. I will of course in the mean time still try to get in a workout, but so far this as not been possible. As for steps I must stress that the app for recording them is no longer working correctly and so I'm losing many steps each day "more than half" are not being recorded. The conclusion as now come that there must be something wrong with my phone and not the app which I must look into when I have time. Regardless we started the week poorly and so having reached a total today of 4k steps, out of the 105k weekly target. ---------------------------- 🎉 https://c.tenor.com/NXvU9jbBUGMAAAAC/fireworks.gif ### 🏅 We reached "🐬🐬QuinTUBLE DOLPHIN🐬🐬" on November 7th which means our collective STEEM POWER is now over 💪25000 SP!! There are around 500 Quintuple Dolphin accounts now and if you remember the previous numbers this means that the actual number of Dolphin accounts as been growing since my journey began between 20k to 25k, this is great news and I guess obvious as the price of Steem as indeed risen since then. So all together we hold around 12mil Steem, you joining us or what? Of course from here we will continue to collect and lock-up even more STEEM! My goal 🌍 is to now reach 30.000 SP🏆, hopefully by the end of June 2022. And so I want to thank everybody who does vote in and for their kind support.
