I had a series of posts under my first Steem account which was simply the song I woke up with in my head, along with a little story, the rest of the information about the series, and then the list of all of the songs.

Eventually, it got old, and I retired it. At the same time, I retired my first account. I mean, obviously it still exists, but I switched focus to other accounts. Mostly because the first one is just my name, and I didn't like that sort of transparency.

Anyway, I'm bringing the series back, but migrating it over here.

I don't know if this is something that is common with everyone or not, but I seemingly wake up with a song already in my head every single morning. There is often no reason why it should be there. I hadn't heard it in the previous day, hadn't discussed it, nothing.

This sounds more like a lullaby than a morning song, but I woke up with it in my head this morning.

Usually, it's not the whole song. Rather, just a line or two or a verse. In this instance, I had this verse in my head:

A mother in a market chases after children that she barely knows
While the father on the barstool, dropped off by his carpool, is playing a familiar role:
I used to be a conquering king. I watched the slow stars shoot & swing
When I'd wake, the world would sing. Now, I can't hear anything
So now its later than it needs to be

It sounds like a religious song, but it's not. Or it's written by someone who isn't religious, anyway.
