Cause You Don't Look The Same!

Met the new neighbors today

She seems a bit put out... maybe even crankier than I am?

I know, sounds unbelievable to me, too! but yes, she was slightly unnerved, as we crossed paths, literally in the path, of my morning walk.

Last summer, my daughter would go for her afternoon run, and each day, about the same area, she ran into this fox, walking bold as daylight, in the middle of the road. She'd eye her as she ran by and keep on walking. Sometimes with a squirrel, or rabbit, or vole, in her mouth. Later, in the summer, she'd see mom, and a couple of kits walking in the woods, cautious. My daughter figures mom was teaching them to hunt. Or bringing food back earlier in the season to the den.
