As you're likely aware, Twitter's Jack Dorsey has launched an initiative to explore an open and decentralized standard for social media, where Twitter would just be a client. When he did, his team set up the bluesky account on Twitter as part of the effort. Yesterday, that account retweeted an announcement of a $200 BTC bounty for an article that reviews decentralized social media platforms including "not just crypto efforts like Voice/Akasha, but allied tech like Mastodon, CRDT, Bittorrent, Git" - and of course, we here on Steem would add our own ecosystem to the list. If I had the time to write such a review, I'd also include diaspora. So, if you have some time available between now and 11:59pm (PST) on December 30, and if you'd like a chance to compete for a $200 BTC bounty, here's an opportunity to showcase your writing along with the Steem blockchain.
