In Zimbabwe US dollars are banked, ie confiscated, and turned into 'electronic' US dollars for which the lucky owner gets 2 'electronic' dollars. Thus Bitcoin in Zim, is 2 electronic US dollars for every real US dollar and thus double the 'dollar' price. Hard to believe but true.
So if you sold you Bitcoin there for double the US rate you would end up with double in 'electronic' US Zimbabwe-ised dollars. No such a great deal.

This move sure gave a sharp rise on the Bitcoin price, it mananged to pass through the $7000 margin , and with the bitcoin , and for people in Zim i guess buying Bitcoins is surely their only way to crate value on their money, since Bitcoin price is rising as the lack of trust to the government increases. I guess was invented so save people''s value of money in such cases.
