"BECAUSE THE FOOLISHNESS OF GOD IS WISER THAN MEN, and the weakness of God is stronger than men."
1 Corinthians 1:25 (NKJV)
“HOW LONG, YOU SIMPLE ONES, WILL YOU LOVE SIMPLICITY? For scorners delight in their scorning, AND FOOLS HATE KNOWLEDGE."
Proverbs 1:22 (NKJV)
• The fulfillments of the Scripture are simple, and the truth in it, the Bible, could be missed If you are not sensitive enough.
- Thus, do not be simple minded. Take whatever is spoken or shared in the Scripture seriously.
- A believer ought to understand how God moves, and how changes take place in the events of his or her life. God, in a bid to fulfill His Word in someone's life, would come as a normal course of life.
- However, If you are insensitive, or naive, or simpleminded, or lacking in the understanding of times and seasons; you may be oblivion or not aware of what God is about to do. You might not know He is on the course of changing things. And would not know that what He had said is being fulfilled in your very present eyes.
- The ways of God are simple for the weak minds to believe, and the simplicity could be misunderstood, thus such a person misses the move of God.
- May you not miss your time and place in Jesus' name.
• A number of people who are usually left behind in the move of God, when the pillar of cloud moves, are those who are not circumspect. Those who are expecting the spectaculars, thus, they missed the supernatural.
- Such people would be expecting God to come or do things in a special way, such that would be outstanding, like one that has not been seen before:
9 THEN THEY RETURNED FROM THE TOMB AND TOLD ALL THESE THINGS TO THE ELEVEN AND TO ALL THE REST. 10 IT WAS MARY MAGDALENE, JOANNA, MARY THE MOTHER OF JAMES, AND THE OTHER WOMEN WITH THEM, WHO TOLD THESE THINGS TO THE APOSTLES. 11 AND THEIR WORDS SEEMED TO THEM LIKE IDLE TALES, AND THEY DID NOT BELIEVE THEM" (Luke 24:9–11 (NKJV).
READ: 1 Corinthians 1:18 - The above passage of the Bible is about the resurrection of Christ Jesus but the Disciples who heard it did not believe it, It was to them like idle tales (Luke 24:11).
• One of the things that a believer should strive or endeavour to learn is the moves and the acts of God in his or her life.
- Being born-again is not about being religious, It is rather about having a relationship and communion or fellowship with God.
- Believers are called to walk with God. And in the course of walking with Him, you are expected to learn some things of valuable importance without being taught or communicated to you verbally.
a. You learn how God communicates, which is most of oftentimes done indirectly—God does not communicate straight.
b. You learn how to interpret signs; understand the handwriting on the wall (Daniel 5:16). How to read spiritual meanings to things happening around you.
c. You learn how God reacts when He is delightful in a thing and how He does when He is not.
• Note:
a. These things are very simple but a naive or simpleminded person or believer would not count them or read meaning to them.
b. This is what differentiates those who are spiritual and those who are not. What a believer who is spiritual, walking in the spirit, or spiritually alert, would see and read meaning to, a carnal believer, who is naive, would trivialize and dismiss as one of those things.
- Believers who are simple minded or naive and mostly carnal are obnoxious to God. He does not like their approach to things that are being communicated to them.
- They usually commonised the messages being sent by God, which is always not straightforward and indirect. What should be treated as a matter of urgency could be trivialized and commonised by such a believer.
• Discerning or ability to discern is one of the basic things that a believer who is walking with God ought to learn first; at the earliest stage of a believer's walk with God.
- A believer who wants to walk with God, who is not keen in this would have it difficult to have a smooth journey with God in his or her Christian life.
- If you are lacking in this, you would be far behind in your walk with God and have no knowledge of a lot of spiritual things.
- Things you supposed to understand, decipher meaning to, immediately or the moment you see It; they would be confusing or befuddling to you. You would not be able to discern It because you are dull of hearing:
"CONCERNING THIS WE HAVE MUCH TO SAY WHICH IS HARD TO EXPLAIN, SINCE YOU HAVE BECOME DULL IN YOUR [spiritual] HEARING AND SLUGGISH [even slothful in achieving spiritual insight]" (Hebrews 5:11 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
"WE HAVE A LOT MORE TO SAY TO YOU ABOUT THESE THINGS. BUT YOU ARE SLOW TO UNDERSTAND THINGS. AS A RESULT, IT IS DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN ANY MORE TO YOU NOW."
Hebrews 5:11 (EASY)
"OF WHOM WE HAVE MUCH TO SAY, AND HARD TO EXPLAIN, SINCE YOU HAVE BECOME DULL OF HEARING."
Hebrews 5:11 (NKJV)
- What you ought to have grown to know would still be mystifying to you, just because you are simpleminded and not keen in learning spiritual things.
- If God persistently tried to teach you these spiritual things you ought to know, which are important and beneficial to your spiritual life and the assignment He has for you, but you yielded not, He might be forced to leave or abandon you after several repeated failures.
- That means, the assignment that ought to be given to you would be given or assigned to another person. May that not be your portion in Jesus' name.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
- Whatever the hold of the enemy in your life, such is broken completely in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
