I just started playing nextcolony a couple of days ago. My original hesitation was lack of keychain support (ironically I feel the same about dpoll).
Now I can play via keychain I'm getting involved and enjoying it.

"Login" in top right just takes me to steemconnect, no keychain option visible?

Login on the main page is via Steemconnect. But you only need that if you want to create a poll.
