Hi everyone. I watched the match yesterday and I have to say something about it.
I'm from Tunisia but I'm not really Espérance fan. I support css. But still when our team play against big European club, I want them to win or at least play good.
But yesterday... man it was painful to watch.
What happened in the match
Chelsea was just too good for us. Like they were playing with kids or something. Our players looked scared and confused most of the time.
The goals came so easy for them:
- Adarabioyo scored first before half time. Nobody marking him properly
- Then Delap got second goal. No fight from our side at all
- Third goal by George was just embarrassing. They were having fun with us
I turned off TV after third goal because it was too much.
My real opinion
Look I know people will say referee was bad or weather too hot or whatever. But truth is Chelsea is just much better team than us. Even their bench players are better than our starting eleven.
This is not about luck or referee. This is about quality difference. Big difference.
When I see how they pass ball and move without ball, then look at our players... it's like watching different sport almost.
What we need to do
Our football in Tunisia need serious changes. Better coaches, better training, more money for good players. We can't compete with European teams like this.
Maybe this big loss will wake up people in charge. Sometimes you need to get humiliated to understand reality.
I'm not happy Espérance lost even though I don't support them. When Tunisian team lose like this it make all our football look bad.
