What emotions did you feel when you caught your first dolphin? And how do you celebrate? If you post a post, please share the link.
Coming across this contest sparked up a nauseating feeling in me and also a feeling of happiness as I reminisced on my first dolphin achievement which actually took a very long while for me to achieve.
The feeling of catching my first dolphin was one of excitement and fulfillment indeed. It had been a Herculean task really as I wasnāt getting much support and I was wondering if that day would ever come but it finally came. I was so happy and I celebrated it with making a post.
I was really very glad because for every time I saw someone celebrate catching a dolphin, I would congratulate them while thinking when will it ever be my turn. All things being equal, time they say proofs everything and I am glad I was finally able to join the dolphins gang. Here is my post link for celebrating my first dolphin
How long did it take you to catch your first dolphin, and what obstacles did you face?
A little back story here, I joined steemit in 2021 May precisely but I was active only for about 6 months and then I went offline for two years cos I didnāt have a phone and during those years, I had some family issues and I had to power down the steem I had accumulated the little time I was here. In the year 2023, I came back online precisely on 1st November and started steeming again. So I have been active for about 1 year and seven months. Within this one year and seven months, I got my dolphin February this year. Thatās after one year and two months of being active.
The obstacles I faced was lack of support, sometimes I go for months without big support from the big accounts and many times I felt so invisible like no one was seeing me but I kept pushing.
Tell us any stories or experiences you had during the process of catching a dolphin.
My stories was one of resilience. I was bent on building my steem power that for the first five months of my coming back to steemit, I didnāt withdraw any of my earning. I was powering up everything that I was earning because I was bent on building my steem power but like I said, the support wasnāt much then so I couldnāt really go very far and then I had some financial
Constraints along the way and then I had to leave club 100.
When the learning challenge started, I plunged myself into them and that was when I started getting small supports here and there from the big accounts and it was able to help me build faster. I maintained club 5050 for a while until financial constraints set in again. Steemit was my source of income and a sister had to eat.
After the big vote I got from the selection as an award winner from the end of the year award last year, I powered up all the earnings and also moved some steem from my Binance account to power up and get my first dolphin. That was how I finally reached my first dolphin. I have only gotten only dolphin, hope to celebrate more catches soonest.
Share some tips to help new users catch their first dolphin.
Catching a first dolphin can be very challenging but there's nothing too hard for a determined soul. So I encourage the new user to;
Be determined and know your why. What was the reason you joined steemit in the first place? Follow your why and stay with it. A strong why would keep you strong in the faces of challenges.
Know that consistency and patience is key. Keep showing up everyday even when you donāt feel like it and even when the support is not coming much. Keep writing, keep pushing.
Engage with others and build relationships across the community. Thereās so much to learn from those ahead of us.
Try powering up more often and it would help you achieve your goals faster.
Above all, never give up as you make quality contents and abide by the rules governing the system and one day, it would be your turn to celebrate your first dolphins too. I wish you success in advance.
Thank you so much @anailuj1992 for such a beautiful time again to celebrate. I congratulate you again and more dolphins to you.
