We have to lift and plant the rice seeds for the Iri season. During the Iri season, there is a lot of rain and the depth of water in the land is high. When planting rice seeds, they cannot cope with the excess water. We will keep the seedlings in another land for a few days to make them strong and resistant to water. Workers are coming from today to lift the seeds from the seedbed and sow them in the soil with mud. The seeds are in dry soil, so it is convenient to lift the seeds. I met the workers and saw the pace of their work. There are 80 kg of rice seeds here, all of which will be lifted and planted.
I returned home and went to the cowshed with my younger brother. My younger brother was milking our cows and I was holding the calves while he was milking them. He alone milks the 8 cows in our cowshed every day. He gives 35 to 40 kg of milk twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon. Since we live in a village, we do not earn much money selling milk, we earn 45 taka (3 steem) per liter of milk. Where 1 liter of milk is sold for 70 BDT (4.66 steem) in the city. We give our milk from home to the sweet shop.
I went back to our land in the afternoon and the workers brought some seeds from the rice seedbed and planted some seeds. We will plant these seeds in a few places in our land because later we will pick them up from the field and plant them in those lands. We will keep them for a maximum of 25-35 days for planting here. This will make the seedlings a little thicker and taller, which will ensure good rice production for the low-lying land. Even if there is excess water in the land, it is also able to resist diseases with water.
I took a bath in the afternoon and went to the mosque and returned after offering Jumma prayers. After lunch, I came to my room to rest. My elder brother gave his son to me in my room for food. I spent some time with my nephew. My younger nephew is 6 months+ and he is very restless. I slept for some time in the afternoon because we had to stay late at the shop yesterday and did not sleep well at night.
I went to our local market in the evening and sat in our shop. Today too we are collecting some dues from those who could not come yesterday. We are collecting money from them by looking at the accounts. Many have not paid our dues this time because the price of potatoes is low during the potato season and many have not been able to overcome the loss of potatoes due to not getting the price of potatoes yet.
