"SLC-S25/W1 | Caramel Pudding"

Greetings and welcome to my blog. I am glad to be back for another engaging challenge season on desserts. Weldone @m-fdo for another exciting season. Last season was beautiful and I am glad you made it to this season too sister and I am happy be a part of this class.

For this recipe I made a caramel pudding. The ingredients I used were:

  • Eggs 2
  • Milk 100 ml
  • Sugar 50g

Procedure

Step 1:

I took a clean bowl and put it on the fire and added 30 gram sugar to it and allowed it to caramelize.

Step 2:

I transferred the caramelized sugar into another bowl that I was going to use for mixing the entire dessert.IMG_3569.jpeg

I proceeded to break the eggs into a clean plate and Whisked it very well.IMG_3562.jpeg

Step 4:

I also added the remaining 2.0 gram of sugar into the egg and whisked it again until thoroughly mixed.IMG_3563.jpeg

Step 5:

I added the milk into the entire mixture and whisked all together.

Step 6:

I poured the mixture into the mound containing the caramelized sugar.IMG_3568.jpeg

I out it on fire on low heat to cook. I didn’t have a bigger pot to steam the mixture because I used a smaller pot with wide arms as the mound cos that it what I have available and hence it couldn’t enter into the size of pot I had.

Therefore I had to cook the pudding directly but in low heat and because of that it didn’t have a smooth bottom layer like the one in the class but it still came out very ok.IMG_3570.jpeg

The caramel pudding was very delicious and I really enjoyed it. It has a very sweet caramelized taste and smooth to taste. The milk and egg mixture added gave it a very rich taste and it was good. I also shared it with a friend who said she got to know about it as a good dessert through an occasion she attended.

Initially she saw it on one occasion where it was served as a dessert and she loved it and she also said that after that Incident, she has also seen it on other occasions and people really love eating it a lot. I also enjoyed it and the smooth and slippery taste it had was very exceptional. It’s a sweet and very nutritious dessert that we can share with our friends and loved ones.

Explain the specialty of caramel pudding.

Caramel pudding it’s a very dessert that is rich and creamy with its unique caramel flavor. It’s has some specialties which includes;

  • Its texture: it has a texture that is smooth and creamy and often has the caramel sauce drizzled on top of it.
  • It has a hint of burnt sugar flavor due to the caramelization of the sugar.
  • It has a versatile use as it can be served alone as a dessert or it can be used as toppings for cakes of ice creams or used as a part to make other desserts.
  • It’s considered as food for comfort and can be allow for other flavors like coffee, vanilla to be used in it for variations in taste. It’s a very indulging rich and creamy dessert.
