My life as an alter server

Greetings to all my fellow steemians ✍️, writing this post is such a pleasure, today I will like to share my life as an alter servers

An alter servers is a minor ministers, that assist the major minister(Catholic priest, Bishop, pope e t c) in every eucharistic celebration(Holy mass, adoration, benediction, exposition of the blessed sacrament e t c.).

*After serving mass on Sunday

An alter server is also a person who choose willingly to serve God and the church, and keeping yourselves loyal to the chief host of the Holy mass(priest, Bishop, pope e t c).

In the military barracks here, we have a Catholic church (St James Catholic church), since from my birth my parents has shown me the right part to follow in life, and am also a member of the Catholic church and the alter servers.

I joined the alter servers at the age of 9, up till now am still a member of the alter servers even though I have grown up now, I will never live the alter servers, we assist the major minister and make sure that they is no mistake in the Holy mass, when ever am assigned to serve mass on Sunday I normally wake up early and make arrangements to avoid any confusions.

I love serving masses, it has been part of me now, and we the alter servers have our logo we are following>To serve and not to be served

We the alter servers follow our logo very much(to serve and not to be served) we maked sure that we serve the holy mass, no mistakes will be made, and also I have many steemians friends that are alter servers at our barracks here. We the alter servers also behave like brother's, e g(caring for each other, giving helping hand e t c.)

We Have our rules and regulations we are abiding to, anyone who breaks the rules will be severely punished, our rules are;

• No late coming to mass or any activities in the church

• No one should keep any in legal relationships

• No stealing, abusing, drunkenness, keeping full hair e t c

• And if anyone reaches the age of marriage is not allowed to serve mass

¹We also have many other rules, some of us keep the rules and some break it, that why many are called but few are chosen, those once that choose to break the rules are punished according to the law.

Many parents normally brings their children to join the alter servers, because of the good example we have set up in the Catholic church, and not only the church but the entire locality.
And also I have been in the alter servers for 7 years now, am regarded as one of the senior alter servers.

The alter servers makes the wise more wiser and the foolish wise and wiser, at the alter servers gathering and practice for mass we have our own greetings (Nearer to the alter and all will respond nearer to God).

My main aim of being in the alter servers is to serve God with all my Heart, and do things that will please God alone in my life, and being close to the alter you have to make your selves a Holy and repented type to avoid God anger on you.
That's why before we serve mass we normally goes to confess our sins to God and ask for mercy and pardon.

Being an alter server is not a easy job but I believe In this life only the most high God can reward all our needs.
