The word sorry might seem simple to the ears but it has great powers. One of its powers is that it can melt down a hardened heart and create peace in a troubled mind. I've seen it mend broken relationships several times and sustain bonds. In this publication, permit me to give a story of my life illustrating the power of sorry.
Before my entry into the Tertiary institution, I was in an organization called Neo life. Most of the weekends were spent in a location far from home. It can be another local government area or a state. It was majorly for the sale of their products.
On a particular visit to Nsit Ubium, we moved in a team of five which I was among. When we arrived, everything seemed normal but the issue came the next day. We were out to meet our prospective customers where I had one. Since we were advised to move in a team, we split in a 2:3 ratio. I was in a 2 man team and we headed out. After a few tries, I met my first customer who wanted to buy large quantities of the products.

I was very happy but he needed change first. I didn't have it that time, so I rushed out to change the money. Coming back, the guy who was in my 2 man team sold his own to the man which infuriates me. The deal was that the person who convinced the customer sells his products but he broke the deal. I nearly pounced on him but I withheld myself.
We engage in fierce words banter which we split. We returned to the base later but we avoided each other's paths. Wherever he stayed, I avoided it like a pandemic. As time went on, other teammates noticed it and tried to talk us out of that situation. At default, we refused to do yield. This strife continued for days till something happened.

While noticing him from afar, I tried to take another route but he countered it. Coming closer, he said "Wisdom, I'm sorry". At that moment, I felt something within me that I couldn't explain. He said that he regretted what he did and asked for forgiveness. Because of that, our friendship or team spirit revived again.
Anything you hear the word "Sorry", don't take for granted anymore.
