Many people don't know that my mother has been a dedicated school teacher for years. During this summer vacation, while most government servants are resting, her school principal assigned all teachers rotating duties to inspect the school premises and supervise the staff's maintenance work.

Today was my mother's turn, so I accompanied her to the school. We walked through:

• Classrooms (checking furniture and cleanliness)
• The main office (reviewing documents)
• School grounds (inspecting the playground and garden)
