Replacing RO Filters

in hive-144064 •  17 days ago

Four months ago, I installed my RO water purifier, and everything was running smoothly—until disaster struck! Just one month after replacing the PPF (sediment) filter, I spotted green algae growing inside it (nature really finds a way 😅). Not taking chances, I decided to swap all three primary filters this time.

I’d already ordered a 5-pack of PPF filters from Daraz (smart move!), which arrived in 4 days. Armed with my new filters, I got to work:
1️⃣ Replaced the algae-infested PPF filter
2️⃣ Changed the carbon and other filters (no more "mystery rocks" inside!)
3️⃣ Tore open the old filters for science—turns out, it was just carbon granules looking like pebbles. Who knew?

Now, my system has fresh filters and a 4-filter backup stash (take that, algae!). Clean water, zero worries. Mission accomplished!

Pro tip: Bulk-buying filters saves money and panic! 💡
