It was around 4 pm yesterday June 26th when I received an unexpected call from Abasifreke, one of my former trainees who had graduated three years ago. His voice was filled with excitement as he expressed his desire to visit me in my office. I felt a sense of pride and nostalgia, remembering the humble and obedient young man he was during his time under my mentorship in printing and photography.

As I granted him permission to visit, I couldn't wait to see how he had progressed in his career. Abasifreke arrived at my office, beaming with confidence and success. We exchanged warm greetings, and I was impressed by his transformation into a professional graphics designer. He shared with me his accomplishments, including owning his own office at Udosen Uko street in Uyo, Nigeria.

As we spent quality time together in my office, I was delighted to see that his humility and kindness had remained unchanged. We shared a light, refreshing drink, reminiscing about old times and discussing his journey to success.

His gratitude for the mentorship and guidance I provided during his training was evident, and I felt a deep sense of fulfillment. After closing from the office, Abasifreke suggested we head to Climate Resort to unwind and chill out. I agreed, and we spent the evening relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Although my phone was off, and I couldn't take pictures, the experience was etched in my memory forever.

As the evening drew to a close, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy and pride. Seeing Abasifreke thrive in his career, knowing that I had played a part in his journey, was truly rewarding. It served as a reminder that the efforts we put into mentoring and guiding others can have a lasting impact on their lives.

As we exhausted our time , I left the Resort with a renewed sense of purpose, thanking him for honouring me, and encouraged to strive harder for more success in printing field while I'm eager to continue inspiring and guiding the next generation of professionals.
