I feel a bit sick of AI responses and the absence of human interaction.

The only exceptions are those few I know and the angry replies from scammers or farmers, at least I know those are real (let’s be honest, a little emotion never hurt anyone). By now even some moderators leave AI-generated answers and I wonder why the communities accept that, is it because it's easier and no one reads anyway? Are these the communities who should be more in the spotlights, although they already are @adeljose?

Lately, I’ve been a bit more absent—or is it present? Either way, I no longer feel the need to read everything and respond everywhere, though some comments make me smile. Especially when someone writes in a comment: "I’m posting this here, and it’s only meant for your eyes." If you say that, you clearly don’t realise that everything you write can be read by everyone.

Is there lack of engagement on Steemit?

Yes, there is, and after all those years, I still try to make people understand why it's important to comment, and indeed commenting/replying takes time, but isn't that a very small price to pay if you depend on Steem to stay alive and are interested in growth and plenty of you make here a small fortune?

Ask yourself how many of the bigger fish arrived at Steemit with investing a fortune, how come the love for Steemit doesn't reach that far to do your stinking best? Unlike others, I didn't grow fast during all those years I've been part of this platform, and I hosted many contests where all rewards were paid by me.

To end this freewrite, let me repeat this for those who’ve never read me before: If you’re only here to fill your pockets without giving back to the community, you’ll soon face a huge problem. Keep in mind that if many only take and most don't like to upvote, eventually there’ll be nothing left to take and Steemit will turn into a ghost town.
