Very useful article Benjy, hope some DeFi-loving folks can put it to good use! Just a guess here, but I assume that wrapped BNB allows BNB to interact with assets on the Ethereum chain, but it may also be that BNB is a special case token that need to be wrapped so that it complies with token standards on its own chain. I know that I had to use wrapped NEO (nNEO) when staking NEO on its native flamingo.finance platform; though once again, there's also an Ethereum link there. I guess it depends on how the backend of the platform operates.
