Greetings Healthy Steem!

Hi Buddies 👋! How are you my beloved friends of Healthy Steem ? I hope you are all well. I am also well by the grace of Allah. Again I am here to participate in the interesting contest and this contest held by @helengutier2 in Healthy Steem. I am very thankful to you ma'am for this contest.

Do you know what orthopedics is? Can you give us some information?

Yes, Orthopedics is a field of medicine in which helps people who have problem in bones or joints. The patient broken bone, has back pain or walks with difficulty,

he should visit an orthopedic doctor. These doctors try to make our movement easy and pain free. These doctors sometimes use braces or suggest exercises. In serious cases, they do surgery. All ages people can need orthopedic help like children, adults, or old people. The main purpose is to help the body move better and to fix bone or joint issues. So life becomes more comfortable.

At what age can orthopedic devices be used?

Orthopedic devices do not have a fixed age limit. These can be used by a baby, a child, an adult or an old person. For example, some babies are born with foot or hip problems. Those babies need soft braces on early. Children with walking issues can use special shoes or leg supports. Adults recovering from injuries can use belts.

Older people mostly use walking sticks, knee supports or back braces. Doctors decide the best device based on the condition, not on age. Purpose is to support movement, reduce pain and make easy daily life.

Do you know the difference between orthodontics and orthopedics?

Yes, Orthodontics is refers to teeth. In the case of, someone has crooked teeth, an orthodontist can help to solve this problem. Doctor use braces to fix it. It is mostly about making the smile better and set jaw positions.

On other side, Orthopedics is totally different. It is about bones, joints and muscles in the whole body. In the case of someone has a bone injury, back pain and joint problem, then orthopedic doctor can set this.
So, the bold difference is: orthodontics works on mouth and jaw area and orthopedics works on the whole bones. Both are important, but for different parts.

Advantages of using orthopedics before orthodontic

Treating bone issues before solving problem of teeth has many benefits, especially for growing kids.
When the bones of face and jaw are treated early with orthopedic treatment, then there is chance that teeth will grow in the right place. This means braces can not be needed for long, or in some cases not at all.

Early orthopedic care can help with breathing, speaking and facial shape. It makes the job easier later for the orthodontist. So, working on the jaw first sets a strong base and the whole face develops in a healthy and natural way.

At last I am inviting @mhizta, @solperez, @onerey and @gondalbiya for taking part in this contest.

Thank you ! For being with me.

You are absolutely right about the field of medicine, orthopaedic and orthodontic sounding very similar but they do responsible for different treatment way, nicely explained :)

Thank you dear ! I am glad I clarify the difference between orthopedic and orthodontic fields. Yes, they do sound similar, but they focus on distinct areas of healthcare, one on musculoskeletal issues and the other on dental alignment and bite correction. Both are crucial in their respective domains in humans.

Thank you for sharing this informative post about orthopedics. You @aliraza1234 did a great job to explaining the field of orthopedics, its importance, and the difference between orthopedics and orthodontics. The examples provided, such as the use of orthopedic devices for different age groups and the benefits of early orthopedic care, were particularly very helpful.

Especially the clarification on the distinct focus areas of orthopedics (bones, joints, and muscles) and orthodontics (teeth and jaw alignment).
Best wishes to you
