How are you all? I hope you are well. By the grace of God, I am also well. Today I am going to participate in the Steemit Learning Challenge Season 25 Week 1 contest hosted by
@jesusnunez, sir, where I am starting a creative challenge with drawing. In this contest, I will draw a Kodomo anime character, which is mainly made for children but also attracts adults.
Edited with Canva.
The character I drew will be in the traditional Kodomo style, where emotions will be expressed through facial expressions and smiles. It will have big eyes, a simple style and bright colours, which are suitable for children and will attract their attention.
This is a great opportunity where I can show my creativity and learn and share something new through the contest. I hope that this character I drew will bring joy to everyone, and my work will also be evaluated.
First I took a white paper. Then I started the first step. In this step, I drew a small round shape, which will be the base of the character's face. Next, I drew two large underlined eyes and a smiley face inside the eyes.
Now, in the second step, I drew two large round shapes on the top of the head, which will be the hair of the head. Next, I drew some hairlines, which will be for the straight and straight look of the character. The hair is drawn in sweet and straight lines, which is common in this type of chibi style. Also, I improved the details around the eyes a little.
Now, I drew some lines for the neck, hands and clothes. I kept the lines below the neck and hands straight. I drew small pleats on the bottom of the clothes, which will be part of the character's clothing. I kept the lines for the hands straight so that the clothes look different initially. In this step, some parts and the design of the clothes are clearer, which can be improved in the next step.
Now, I started drawing the legs, and the legs of the character are arranged a little faster or like a mouza. Some lines are drawn under the feet, as if the feet are rising from the ground and giving a lively or dynamic feel.
This is the first step for the lower part of the character; in the next step, more details will be added so that the whole character's legs and other parts are clearly visible.
Now I have finished drawing the hair part. First, I made small hairlines, and later I turned them into large hair and lowered them towards the back. The details of the hair are designed very beautifully, which maintains the sweet and gentle mood of the character. The curved design of the hair goes down from the back to the feet, which completes the character more beautifully.
Now I have reached the final stage, where I have drawn two round scratches on the head and made its shape brighter and more vivid with black watercolour on the eyes and mouth. In this step, I have done colour work on the character's face to enhance the perfect skin texture and the size of the eyes so that it looks more realistic and attractive. The rounded scratches on the back and head add life to the whole design, making the character look even sweeter and more charming.
Now I have coloured the collar and the shoes on the feet. I have added different shadings to these parts using pencil, making them look more realistic and natural. The collar and shoes are brought to a beautiful shade as a finishing touch, which matches the character's design and makes it more lively and attractive.
This is the final step where I have created the hair colours in light and dark shades. Each spot is beautifully redrawn with pen ink, which makes each part of the image more alive. A shadow is created under the feet, which increases the depth and realism of the image. The detailed shading of the hair and the defined spots bring out the correct structure and tone of the image, which makes the image more attractive and cohesive.
This is a picture of my character drawing, which is in the Kodomo anime style. I first followed the drawing steps and completed the picture. Here, you can see that I have included my selfie to prove that this drawing is my work. My username is also next to the picture, which is an indication of my creativity.
Also, the hard work I put into this process has inspired me even more, and it has been a new learning experience for me. I am happy to share this picture and my work as part of this Steemit Learning Challenge Season 25.
