Hello my steemit friends I hope you all are doing well. I am very excited to join the โ€œFood for Mood โ€“ Season 8โ€ contest. Food is not only for hungers but also for the heart and mood. Some foods can bring smiles energy and happiness. For me that special food is golgapai. It is also known as pani puri or puchka in different areas. Golgapai is my favorite instant food that always makes my mood better. In this post i will tell you why i love golgapai how i make it and what i do when i donโ€™t have the ingredients.

What instant food do you make to have a positive effect on your mood?

Whenever i feel sad tired or even bored i think about golgapai. It is crispy spicy tangy and full of flavor. Just the thought of golgapai brings a smile to my face. When i eat it i feel fresh and happy. It is like a little celebration in my mouth. Sometimes after a hard day this snack gives me new energy. I enjoy it even more when i eat it with my family or friends.

What is the process for making it? (share the steps)

Making golgapai is not too hard especially when you have the ingredients ready. I usually buy the ready-made golgapai shells from the market to save time.

Ingredients:

Ready-made golgapai (crispy puris)

Boiled potatoes

Boiled chickpeas

Chopped onions

Chaat masala

Salt and black salt

Tamarind pulp (imli)

Mint leaves

Green chili (optional)

Cold water

Steps:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Step 1: Boil potatoes peel and mash them. Also boil chickpeas and keep them ready.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Step 2: Mix the mashed potatoes chickpeas chopped onions salt and chaat masala. This is your filling.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Step 3: Now make the spicy water. Mix tamarind pulp mint leaves salt black salt chaat masala and cold water. Blend it well. You can add green chili if you liked it more spicy.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Step 4: Take each golgapa shell and makes a small hole on top with your finger.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Step 5: Fill the shell with the potato mixtures.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Step 6: Dip it in the spicy water or pour the water insides the golgapa. Eats it in one big bite!

You can also add sweets chutney or curd (yogurt) if you wants a sweet taste. But i loves the classic spicy one the most.

What do you do when you need this food right away but don't have the ingredients to make it?

Sometimes i feels like eating golgapai but i do nots have the ingredients at home. In that case I try these things:

โœ… Go to a street stall: In my city golgapai stalls are very common. I go to the nearest one and enjoy a fresh plate.

โœ… Make a simple version at home: If I only have potatoes and spices I just eat the filling with lemon juice or make a mini chaat. It gives a similar taste and makes me feel better.

โœ… Ask a friend or cousin: Sometimes i call my cousin or best friend and we plan to eat golgapai together. This makes it more fun and lifts my mood instantly.

โœ… Order online: If I canโ€™t go out I order it from a food delivery app. It comes quickly and tastes greats.

Even when i donโ€™t have all the ingredients i try to enjoy the tastes in simple ways.

Would you recommend this food to others to improve their mood?

Yes! I would 100% recommend golgapai to everyone. It is a tasty fun and affordable food that can make you happy in minutes. It is perfects for evening snacks friends gatherings or small celebrations the spicy water wakes up your taste buds and the crispy bite feels amazing. But be carefully donโ€™t eat too much at once and make sure it is clean and fresh. If you have a sensitive stomach reduce the spice or make it at home. Golgapai is also a good way to enjoy food with your loved ones. Sharing a plate of golgapai always brings laughter and joy.

I want to say that golgapai is more than just a food for me. It is a way to feel better to enjoy small moments and to bring smiles. Whether i make it at home or buy it from a stall it always helps me feel good. It is simple quick and full of taste i think everyone should try golgapai when they need a boost in mood.
