There was a dense forest where many animals lived, including a lion and a mouse. All the animals of the forest respected the lion a lot. The lion had grown old but there was a very strong friendship between the lion and the mouse. Both of them lived in the forest like very good and true friends. When the lion grew old, all the animals of the forest started considering him as their king, but the lion was not at all proud of one thing. He behaved very well with all the animals and he never harmed any animal of the forest and neither did he ask any animal to do wrong with any animal in the forest. But the lion respected the mouse a lot and considered it his companion in happiness and sorrow, so the mouse also considered the lion as his own and loved it a lot. The mouse plays with the lion all day long, sometimes by climbing on its neck and sometimes on its head. The lion never felt bad about this and he also used to play very well with the mouse. Once a mouse was going somewhere and suddenly he fell in a swamp. After falling in the swamp, the mouse was getting stuck in it and was calling for help. Then suddenly his friend the lion reached there and on seeing the lion, a different kind of power came in the mouse's body and he said to the lion, "Brother, please save me from drowning in this swamp." The lion also, without caring for his life, jumped in the swamp and with a lot of struggle and hard work, he took his friend out of the swamp safely. In this way, the lion saved his life. The mouse said, "Lion brother, I am grateful to you and if the Almighty gives me time, I will definitely repay you for this favor." On this, the lion said, "What is there to be grateful about in this? It was my duty towards our friendship, which I did very well." Then everything was going well, then one day a group of hunters came to the jungle and made the lion their prey and threw water on him. The lion got trapped in the net thrown by the hunters and started screaming for help. There was a stampede in the whole jungle. Seeing the group of hunters, when the mouse came to know that his friend was trapped in the net thrown by the hunters, he ran there to help his friend the lion and with great effort he cut the net of the lion with his pointed teeth and freed his friend the lion from the clutches of the hunters. The lion also became very happy after getting free from the clutches of the hunter and out of happiness he made the mouse sit on his neck and loved it a lot. This news spread like fire in the whole jungle and all the animals were praising the friendship of the mouse and the lion and were congratulating the mouse a lot. The story of friendship between the mouse and the lion became an example for all the people.
