Alashe is my father's village, I and my mother visited the village to greet the bereaved families. After all, we saw youths gathered and everyone was happy so when we moved closer, I was so surprised to see this kind of fish once in my life.
I don't know that special name to be given to this fish but all I know is that, it's a very special fish that I have never seen in my entire life.
The name of the young man holding the fish is Amae. Amae is a Fisherman, he is a young man from my father's village that focuses on fishing, that has been his occupation for a while now, he does that with every last energy in him because that is his only source of income for now and that made him so serious in that very fishing occupation.
He is a hard-working young man, he is an orphan that is determined, focused and zealous. Amae doesn't have a friend, his friends are the fishes he traps in the river, I felt very happy hearing that he has no friends at all because one thing I realise about life is that, friends are alot of distractions in life.
The village head called on his attention to say kudus! to Amae for his efforts and not just that, the village head is an aged man, he attested that this specie of fish cannot be gotten or seen anywhere anyhow and he went further to say that it takes a strong man to be able to fish out this type of fish.
The village head continued by saying that it's been more than 50years now he has not set his eyes in seeing this type of fish. The village head joyfully said that the last time he saw and ate this type of fish was when his father was alive and everyone bosted into laughter because it's really years ago. Everyone was so proud of Amae so, he finally sold the fish at the rate of ₦48,000 only.
