Do you belong to the group of people that doesn't want to grow old?

No way, I don't because I know that old age is a blessing and not a curse. Sometimes I wish to grow old but it doesn't come, I still look way younger than my age and of course, that's a blessing too.

Growing old gives you confidence of having survived so far, remembering all your experiences at young age feels awesome. Sometimes my mom would share her life experience with us especially that of her young age when she was still with her sisters and parents, when my dad tried to win her over, all of these are sweet memories to remember at old age.

When I imagine old age, I try to picture how I would spend it with my children and my generations to come. I won't want to miss a moment of my old age for anything, it's a dream come through.

What are the characteristics of old age?

Old age is characterised by so many challenges that either comes early or later

• Physical changes; At old age, some people develop difficulty in hearing, vision and their strengths to keep pushing up with their daily activities keeps reducing. The skin starts changing with wrinkles and hair turns gray

• Health changes; They start developing loss of memory, some chronic health challenges and difficulties in walking. Some of these health issues could hinder them from some social activities. Due to these life changes most of the older people develop a sad nature, always angry because of their state.

What are you doing to stay healthy during old age

• Eat well, I make sure I eat the right meal at the right proportion and healthy meals too because all meals are not healthy. Fruits and vegetables are not missing out in my daily meals. I make sure my meals are a combination of all the six classes of food.

• Sleep well; Sleep is very essential to our health but sometimes we tend to ignore it because we chase money. I make sure to sleep well at night and and mid morning if necessary.

• Social activities; I get involved in necessary activities to improve my well-being. Going out for recreational activities, hanging out with important people and involving myself with lots of exercises helps me stay fit even at old age.

• Staying positive; I think positive, speak positive and act positive, that's the spirit. Associations of negativity always irritate me and so I don't mix with such company for my health sake and also, I stay joyful and maintain my peace.

At what age can we call someone an old person.

When a person is 60+ we consider them as old people. Although when a person is thirty, people call the person old but officially, 60 is the right age to call someone old.
