Greetings, friends.
6 years ago, in June 2019, my youngest daughter, at the age of 11, made a trip to an art competition in Abkhazia. Now I'm sitting and looking at these photos and thinking - 6 years ago I thought that she was already quite an independent girl and she could be trusted with photo and video equipment for the duration of this trip.
Of course, she did not travel alone, but as part of a group of other children, led by 2 educators. The trip was successful. My daughter brought an award for 1st place and gifts.

Abkhazia is a blessed land. These places are also described in the Odyssey about the Argonauts. But I haven't been there. Maybe the stars in the sky will turn out so that I can visit these places.

Two years ago, my daughter traveled to the Republic of Belarus as part of a school theater group. She was already 15 years old. A very grown-up girl. I always say in such cases, my grandmother was married at the age of 14. Of course, these were difficult times in Russia. It was 1919, the civil war, famine in the country, a large family, and my grandmother's parents married my grandmother to my grandfather. My grandfather was 16 years old.
My wife and I had absolutely no worries about our daughter's trip. But God laughed at us. My daughter lost her suitcase on that trip. It's a good thing that the documents were in the handbag.
At what point do our responsible young children become irresponsible teenagers?

On June 29, 1986, I received my high school graduation certificate and left for the city of Leningrad, now called St. Petersburg. My independent life began.
Then I was the same age as my daughter is now. Can I rely on her independence? She needs to study at school for another 1 year. My wife and I give our youngest daughter the opportunity to solve everything on her own, just like our two older children. But sometimes it feels like we let go of the reins early.
