It is my pleasure to share with you my unforgettable walk through the sights of Buda - I conquered the Imperial Palace - Budapest, known as the Palace of Maria Theresa, I climbed to the incredible panoramic view of the city from Gellért Hill...
And everywhere it smells enchantingly of linden trees!
Church of the Assumption of the Buda Castle
The Hungarian Parliament in Budapest, located on the banks of the Danube River.
This is the "Fisherman's Bastion". In the Middle Ages, fishermen defended this part of the area with high walls. This is the equestrian statue of Stephen I, the first Hungarian king.
The seven towers of the bastion symbolize the seven Magyar tribes that are the founders of the Hungarian state.
The symbol of the city is the Szechenyi Bridge, which unites Buda and Pest. This is one of the biggest landmarks here. For its time, it was considered the ultimate achievement of architecture, very beautiful, with some big lions.
In my opinion, 2 days is enough to see the main sights of the Hungarian capital. If you have another day or two, you can add a day for a spa, nightlife, and more interesting museums.
There were also binoculars for observation and an information board from which I learned that the "Banks of the Danube and the Buda Castle District" are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as they represent "one of the most remarkable cityscapes and illustrate the great periods of the history of the Hungarian capital."
I also crossed the largest suspension bridge over the Danube River. The bridge is called the Golden Gate of Romania and is 2 km long. It connects the Black Sea ports and the Danube Delta with the rest of the country and the Trans-European Transport Network.
