A Misty Descent from Saint-Agnès
We were driving down from the perched village of Saint-Agnès when the first raindrops started to fall. The light drizzle quickly turned the winding road into a cinematic scene straight out of a James Bond film. As the clouds dropped lower, the mist thickened and wrapped around the pines, muffling the sound of the engine and softening every detail in the landscape.
The silver curves of the car in front of me, almost surreal in their elegance, glided through the fog like a ghost from another era. Behind it, a vintage model followed quietly, adding a timeless rhythm to this mountain descent. The wet road glistened, the wooden guardrails were dark with rain, and the whole scene seemed to breathe with the forest.
I knew the moment needed to be captured—not just for its beauty, but for its mood. Black and white felt like the only honest way to present it. It strips away distraction and lets the atmosphere speak: a moody, suspended moment between nature, machine, and weather.
A drive like this isn’t just about getting home. Sometimes, it’s the road itself that gives you the most cinematic memories.
