Today, I am going to show you my journey in this contest by @kouba01 I did today at Red Hill Summit Walk Canberra, the Capital of Australia. I would love to invite @yonaikerurso @jyoti-thelight and @ripon0630
Today I went for a bushwalk to soothe my nervous system and spirit with some beautiful nature balm.
The natural landscape felt so inspiring and alive that I created a gentle spoken poem as I walked, softly describing of all the things I noticed … birds, trees, water, the breeze and the signage boards of course
Narrative & Cultural Meaning
Redhill Bushwalk is one of the most visited walking trails in Australia where you can watch birds, see this one is looking at me but and wondering what I'm doing here on this foggy morning.
I feel as if these trees tare gonna talk any moment. Oh yes, they swing with the wind but it's their pleasure which they show in their own way.
I wanted to see blue sky but it's all misty. The leaves of these trees keep falling. But then they always get the new ones. The Red Hill is so green and beautiful which attracts everyone.
Story of the Red Hill Summit Walk Canberra
The story of Red Hill Canberra Nature Reserve is simple as it's located in main city. This grand Landscape is right within the main city which makes it well within the reach of locals. The famous trail is located just off Mugga Way close to my suburb Garran at a walking distance.
Locals as well as tourists visit Red Hill as a main lookout and the beautifull shaped building from the top. There is one restaurant Carousel that offers lunch, dinner and coffee to its visitors.
There are too few cities in the world with hill s within town and not a single one with as big as Red Hill Summit Walk. The place is paradise for bushwalkers in Canberra.
Starting Location as I approached the top I felt a bit disappointed as my favorite Carousel Complex, the main place where I sit for a while was deserted.
Then I saw a young man coming running along with his dog from the main walking area. I asked him, How come you're running on the main trail, he said you missed the fine print. it's been closed during the night but you can go during the day time.
Okay, so walked back and entered and headed up the hill. and as usual as I approached the top, the main area however there were too few people. One, it was a week day, two, it was peak working hours.
I guess the best time to walk here is on weekends but I wanted to submit this post today so I kept walking.
There is one thing I love about this walk there are no markers so I keep GoogleMaps on so I follow the right path.

I looked at the Black Mountain and took couple of images.
But what discouraged me the signage spread out along the trail showing warning signs, removing weed, shooting and what not.
When I reached the starting point I saw the first signage which said not to enter but then even if I did not enter I walked down a little and started walking on the slope along the main walking trail.

Heading back towards the bottom. I saw this gentleman walking with his two dogs
Okay I did not spend as much time as I normally do as my favorite place for a coffee was not open. I did not go to the area where people spend time picnicking along with their family and friends.
I came back from this point and walked other side of the hill along the road and watched houses of Red hill suburb. I guess I missed a few famous points as I was alone and there were not many in the area.
Then I turned around and headed back and crossed these stairs leading to the road
and where I had shared my location so someone comes and picks me up. I stood there in front of the houses.and waited for maybe 3 minutes when my daughter picked me up.
I have been walking on this trail for a long time and find it easy with lots to see besides as I am busy with my projects and Steemit and don’t have much time so I love it here.

For me a walk in the bush connects me with nature. It helps let off some steam. And when you notice the sounds coming from swaying trees, the birds, on the ground, trees and in the sky. I feel these trees talk to me. I walk right to the top a little exhausted but when I sit there for a while I feel as I am right in heaven.

That's how I finished my bushwalk today at Mugga Way in the suburb of Red Hill.

This place looks neat and well kept. This is the kind of place I like visiting. In my country scared places like this things like bird are forbidden to take away from the environment. I hope is not so here because if I'm opportune I will like to catch one bird home .

You are right about the cleanness but I could not give you better pictures as the weather was too cold and misty. Had it been a sunny day the quality of images would be different. Yes, the rules are strict here as harming the atmosphere or even giving food to animals or birds is forbidden here leave apart catching them. Thanks for your support.

Thank you so much for all the kind words fo my humble effort. In fact I though the dense fog destroyed the quality of my images. But that's how it is. Thanks again.

The shooting is officially allowed by the Australian government for certain period and they are not cutting the trees but taking the weed out therefore use chemicals. To protect human health they close the area for certain period. Thank you for your kind support.

Ah comprendo! La señalización es más para cuidar de las personas que lo visitan.
Pensé que hacían tala de árboles, que eso sí es bastante triste y delicado.
Muchas gracias por la respuesta y aclaración.
Éxitos.

This Red Hill Canberra is truly red and would be an interesting place to visit. Please how long has this hill been in existence and the steps, are they used to climb down the hills?
I would also love to know if the tress around are used to produce anything, do you think people cut down these tress for the produce of maybe furnitures, or anything?

Thanks, you have some nice questions here which is not as simple to answer here but I can tell you that Australia has a very large area that covers forests and while we have some of the best Pines, we have Eucalyptus as well. Maybe you have heard about large number of bushfires happen in this country.
As far your second question, hills have roads that go up and down so this is one of the steps which takes up or rise a bit and then maybe there is a steep falling. Thanks for the support.

Well, I know little about Australia, I am aware of the large areas that covers forest but as I go through the link you dropped I am sure to learn more.
All the best!

Greetings, you visited such a wonderful place, it will be such a perfect place to sit and reflect on ourselves. Even to study it will stick right to your memory. It is sad to know that the place where you do sit and have a comfortable time is deserted.
You have shared wonderful images, wish you luck.

Nothing to worry dear friend because I never sit in this place 'cause it's a walking trail. Most Australian locations look deserted barring on weekends when people flock such places and I did this walk on a Friday and to make things worse, the place is officially closed for removing the weed. Thanks for your concern and support.

Wow! What an amazing landscape!. Full of Nature and a lot in disguise. It was so pleasing already from this entry and equally learning about the Red Hill. It really looks beautiful and a calm place from which one can visit and have a good glance at the main town beneath it!. Great exploration my friend and good luck in the contest.

Hahahaha I can't stop laughing as you said the bird infront of you is looking at you and wondering what you are doing there that foggy morning.
It means you can read the birds mind now. Go ahead and tell the bird your mission in the bush that early morning. I wish you success in the entering.
