The Diary Game: Attending My Niece Traditional Marriage 28-06-2025

Hello ladies and gentlemen of steemit, it's your friend @joychi102 here, it is a day of joy and most of all a beautiful day, my miece said yes!! And it was sealed the traditional way, hold up, let me not say everything at once.

My neice's big day came and I was in the village before 5am, throughout that morning it was cooking all through, before I could even finish and say let me bath, the inlaws came and we were asked to go and welcome then and give them seats.

Seats were given and the traditional rites were done before the main celebration. The celebration started by 12 in the afternoon because it was going to be a 2 service in one day, she told me she is doing both traditional and white wedding the same day, I liked the idea though that was not how I did mine.

By 1 in the afternoon, my cousin was brought by the village women, well-wishers and other reputable women, look at her glowing up, she is the only daughter to my sister and we made sure she did not lack anything and that her day was going to run smoothly though it was emotional day for the mother (my sister) because the only daughter will be going out to stay with her new family.

The Ekpe masquerade was displayed, I love this tradition so much, I was admiring this Ekpe masquerade, I called him and gave him one thousand naira. The marriage ceremony was one of the best I have attended for some time now, millions were not spent but the entire ceremony was as if huge money was spent, I liked the organizers.

My kids were crying on the phone when I called my husband. So I prepared and went back home after I dropped off my gift to my sister so that she can keep for her daughter so that I can go and back home and follow my kids because my husband was not steady at home.

After I got back home, I met with my kids, I prepared dinner for us all and took selfie of the moment together. They missed me so much and I missed them also. I gave them the afang and white soup I brought from the marriage ceremony.

For some reasons my heart was just full of joy that the day was successful and I am writing this my diary game with so much joy in my heart and it is something that will continue. I am very happy and delighted in as much as I know God will continue bless that my sister for me because she deserves it.
