My Story
A gift for the Street: A Sunday of Joy and Kindness.
There is a special place in my heart reserved for children—those little angels whose laughter can lift the heaviest heart and whose smiles can light up even the darkest days. I’ve always believed that children are blessings. A home without children often feels incomplete—quiet, heavy, and without a rhythm. Children carry the torch of generations. They are the future, the bridge between today and tomorrow.
To me, children are not just playmates, they are my best friends, gist mates, and partners in laughter. Their innocence is pure, their joy is genuine, and their gratitude is overwhelming. Each time I interact with them, my heart expands. I find healing, laughter, and a renewed sense of hope.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon—a calm, sunny day that felt like a hug from the heavens. I had planned something special. I took a small bag filled with simple yet exciting treasures: biscuits, sweets, drinks, and snacks. These weren’t just gifts, they were little packages of love wrapped in kindness.
As I walked down my street where I knew some children usually played, I spotted a group of them gathered under a tree, chatting and laughing. The moment they saw me, their eyes widened, and their faces lit up with curiosity and excitement. One of the younger ones ran toward me, arms wide open, and the others followed quickly, like little butterflies drawn to light.
“See what I brought for you!” I said, kneeling down and handing out the goodies.
The shouts of joy that followed were music to my ears.
“Sir thank you o!”
“God bless you!”
“I’ll share with my brother!”
“Wow sweet! My favorite!”
Some danced, some jumped, and others hugged me tightly. It was such a simple act, but the way their faces glowed made it feel like the most important thing I had done all week. That moment reminded me of something very powerful: kindness doesn’t have to be grand or loud—it just has to be real.
These children didn’t ask for much. Just a little attention, a little kindness, and someone who saw them as valuable. And in return, they gave me something money cannot buy—genuine appreciation, prayers from pure hearts, and laughter that filled my soul.
That day, I didn’t just give biscuits and sweets—I gave joy. And in return, I received a kind of blessing that only children can give. If you ever want to feel true joy, give to a child. Feed them, play with them, love them.
Because when you gift a child, you’re not just giving away something physical—you’re sowing seeds into the future, into a soul that remembers, and into a heart that blesses.
Let’s keep being kind to children—on the street, at home, in school, everywhere. The world becomes softer and more beautiful when we do so.
