Morning or afternoon everyone….
There is way too much to write about while on vacation still. I promise that I will do a very thorough recap once I get home. But I’d really like to share some of it with you now.
My girlfriend’s mom booked us a complete deluxe Grand Canyon tour before we had even left for this vacation. The tour included two helicopter rides, two plane rides and a few bus rides.
We started off at an airport boarding a small twenty one seat plane. Which took us to a smaller airport closer to the Grand Canyon. In the plane we flew over the Hoover Dam which we visited yesterday. But this is one hell of an aerial view so I had to share it.
After we landed, we boarded a six seater helicopter which the picture is my thumbnail picture. They air lifted us over parts of the Grand Canyon giving us spectacular up close views. After roughly thirty minutes we dropped down in the canyon, where we boarded a boat and toured the Grand Canton via the Colorado river. What an amazing view it was.
I didn’t time the boat ride, but I’d guess that we were on the water for a little over half an hour. It was such an overwhelming view of the Grand Canyon.
After we docked back at the pier, we boarded another helicopter which lifted us through another part of the Grand Canyon with more up close amazing views. Our drop off this time was near Eagle Point which is where the Skywalk over the canyon is.
Our tour included this as well. It is a very intense way of viewing the canyon. Not for the faint at heart by any means.
Our last stop was a bus ride to Guano Point. There are breathtaking views with no ropes, guardrails or anything to stop you from falling off the top of the Grand Canyon. But the views were amazing.
It was a very fun day with amazing views. But it was a very tiring and hot day as well.
More to come….
