Hello, again! How are you? I hope that you are doing great. Welcome to my post. It's a short diary on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
On Thursday, the last workday of the week, I consulted 27 patients in my chamber. There was a cut-injury patient. He was working with a water basin, and it broke. He had a pretty deep cut injury to his left index finger! While cleaning the wound, it started to bleed profusely. Hence, we needed to close the wound quickly.
On Thursday, I had a good number of ureteric colic patients. Of them, a middle-aged lady, a known case of left ureteric colic, came for injections. She was already on oral painkillers, but those weren't enough to reduce the pain. She visited last month also with a similar situation. She has an appointment at the higher center for surgical intervention to remove the impacted stone. Unfortunately, she didn't get any earlier date!
Another male patient came with severe acute right lower abdominal pain. The examination and a urine test were consistent with the right ureteric stones. He was having difficulty passing urine also. I gave three different kinds of painkillers, but the pain didn't go away completely. I suggested an abdominal scan.
Another man returned to me after 3 months. Last time, he was treated as a suspected case of left ureteric stone. I gave him medicines and asked him to do an abdominal scan. With medicines, he was well (pain-free) for the last 3 months. Over the previous 3 days, he has started having severe pain at the same site. This time, he did the scan first and then came to me. The scan revealed two stones- one inside the left kidney and the other one at the lower end of the left ureter! I had to give him injections, too!
At home, I couldn't walk on the treadmill. Hence, I couldn't make over 10k steps. I had a morning sleep and an afternoon nap. At night, my kid had an online English class. I had to accompany him. Later, I went to bed close to midnight.
Okay. That's all for today. I am alive, healthy, and thriving, Alhamdulillah. How about you?
